Elephant Pharmacy isn’t your average drug store. A pharmacy chain focused on natural health and wellness, it’s designed to appeal to an audience beyond the Berkeley hippy stereotype.
This project was a perfect opportunity to create design that’s good by every metric. The hanging signs in the Los Altos location are made with bamboo plywood. In Berkeley, the wall signs are laser-cut plywood with a natural stain. We sourced banners made from recycled poly, and used a printing technique with no solvent emissions. But when you walk in, all that effort melts away into a sea of products, people and purpose.
